GRUPO DE ORGANIZACIONES DE MIAMI Y NUEVA YORK LLAMAN AL LEVANTAMIENTO DE MEDIDAS UNILATERALES DE ESTADOS UNIDOS CONTRA LOS PUEBLOS DE CUBA Y VENEZUELA
LLAMAMIENTO POR EL LEVANTAMIENTO DE MEDIDAS UNILATERALES
Uniéndonos al llamado del Secretario General de la Organización de Naciones Unidas, el Servicio Mundial de Iglesias, la Alta Comisionada de la ONU para los Derechos Humanos, otros gobiernos y organizaciones en diferentes países, hacemos un urgente llamamiento al gobierno de Estados Unidos, para que en estos momentos de grave crisis provocada a nivel mundial por la pandemia del Covid-19, suspenda aquellas sanciones impuestas a los pueblos de Cuba y Venezuela, para que pueda garantizarse el acceso a suministros de salud, asistencia, acceso a alimentos a estos dos pueblos hermanos y todo aquello que dificulte o impida una respuesta adecuada a la actual pandemia.
Por años las organizaciones haciendo este llamamiento de urgencia hemos exigido al gobierno de Estados Unidos el levantamiento de todas las medidas y regulaciones que conforman la cruel e inhumana política de Bloqueo contra los pueblos de Cuba y Venezuela. Hoy lo reclamamos con más urgencia aún.

GROUP OF ORGANIZATIONS FROM MIAMI AND NEW YORK CITY CALL FOR UNILATERAL MEASURES BY THE UNITED STATES AGAINST THE PEOPLE OF CUBA AND VENEZUELA

A CALL TO LIFT UNILATERAL MEASURES
We join the call made by the Secretary General of the United Nations, the World Council of Churches, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, other Governments, along with other organizations in this and other countries in making an urgent call upon the Government of the United States, so that in these times of worldwide grave crisis provoked by the Covid-19 pandemic, suspend the unilateral sanctions against the people of Cuba and Venezuela in order to guarantee access to health supplies and assistance, and access to foodstuffs, as well as, any anything else that might hinder in providing an adequate response during the current pandemic to the kindred people of these countries.
For years now the organizations making this call have demanded that the Government of the United States lift all measures and regulations compromising the cruel and inhumane policy of Embargo/Blockade against the Cuban and Venezuelan people. Today our demands are even more urgent.
We are eleven organizations united in this humanitarian call. Listed in alphabetical order:
